Questions about running a Guild. - Guild Wars Forums

Hey.. I started a guild ( Midnight Order ) so myself, and a bunch of colleagues at work, could have our own, although its open to anyone. I'm almost ascended, where they are mostly 10-15, so Im officially the leader, but i also am the leader in practice.

Anyway, in total honesty, i have no clue what im doing.
How does the Hall of Heroes work? How do you get? I know i have to win one to get a GuildHall, or buy a sigil.

Do you have to be ascended to compete in them?

I just need a full run down of how the GvG part of the game works basically.

You don't have to be ascended. If you purchase the sigil you simply go to Lions Arch and talk to npc on the boat. He will take you to Guild Island where you can trade the sigil for your guild hall. Anyone in your guild can access the guild hall with their PvE character (ascended or not) or they can create a PvP character only and access the hall. Guild battles are 8 vs 8 and you have 4 available henchmen in your hall to use if necessary. That's pretty much the short and sweet run-down.
